As a Guyanese in NYC who left young, here's a question:
DOES THIS APPLY TO THE BUSH?
Say u just went deep in the bush & set up camp or started a farm?
Will they come after you?
(I'm thinking the country is so big that they don't have enough government officials to track this)

Mud is absolutely correct about the swatting for free land etc. Recently some squatters were handsomely rewarded with hundreds of millions for illegally squatting on government land and had the backing and support of their political party.

Well said and so truth. I was thinking about squatting on land where the government is about to develop. Guyana is 83, 000 sq ml which is as large as England/UK. But England/UK has over 60, 000, 000 million people and Guyana has less than 1 million people. So, how of earth can’t every born Guyanese get a house lot/land without any problems. It is so hard to comprehend but almost everything that happens in Guyana is hard to comprehend. Imagine, every month, 30 nurses and some doctors are leaving Guyana to go a foreign to work because they are not being paid a decent wage or salary in Guyana. But instead of government paying the salaries to keep them in Guyana, the government is telling them to leave and go work in foreign countries because they refuse the pay them. You know how dumb this is. Since everybody knows that Guyana will need ten of thousands of workers in Guyana because of workforce would be too small. But in the meantime we are chasing out our present skilled workforce to work for better salaries in foreign countries. If you don’t have a sense of humor, the government of Guyana and Guyanese politicians, would drive you insane.

Bro I was a police in guyana I applied for a land since 2002 an up to now I can get a call or interview..my kids are 21 an 20 years an I in get that land yet so I fed-up an move to the US 🇺🇸 smfh
