I love your videos and advice, but all the things you recommend, like gut zoomer, dutch test, certain supplements, etc, are all super expensive! Most of us don't have that kind of money, unfortunately.

Thank you Dr. Mindy! I’m one of the people who has been complaining that I couldn’t switch over… I would fast for 36 hours and still blood sugars refused to budge and couldn’t get my ketones over 0.4-0.5. I am watching today on hour 72 of fast mimicking with avocados, green olives, almond butter, Evolve cups, LMNT salts and coconut milk in my coffee and I am finally at 4.0 on the ketones!! I am shooting for a 5 day FMD fast and feel so much better on day 3 that I really think I can make it. You should warn people about the muscle aches that occurred around hour 42… ugh 😢

I have recently found you Dr Mindy and I’m so excited 🎉… I am 47 and just this year struggling with so many peri menopause symptoms, I started having night sweats about 4 years ago but that was it, everything else was ok (or seemingly)… now everything has hit me at once … irregular periods, weight gain, insomnia, brain fog…. I just don’t feel like me anymore and wonder where I’ve gone 😢… I have bought Fast like a girl and the menopause reset and have been watching your videos and listening to your podcast … there is sooo much to navigate and a little overwhelming but I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this work and helping women the way you do 🙏🏽… just from the little I have learnt so far I am starting to feel empowered and in more control 💕
I am halfway through Fast like a Girl and waiting for my Day 1 to start my 30 day reset but my cycle isn’t coming just yet… technically I am on day 38 …the longest I have gone without a cycle is 3 months… I guess my question is ‘Do I just start the reset or wait for my blood’?

I didn't do a dutch test but i watched a video by Dr Berg and it described what i was experiencing. I can walk for hours without getting tired but at home id get such a heavy feeling in my legs and struggled getting up the stairs. I didn't get out of breath, it was just the feeling in my legs. So heavy. So i knew i had to fix those high levels of cortisol

Get into ketosis:

1.Bring blood sugar down. Get blood sugar reader
1. Hormetic stress on cells - increase fasting timeframe

2. Intermittent fasting variation - vary your fast

3. Look at food you're eating. Eat clean food as possible. Dirty keto. Avoid harmful fats. Low carb and moderate protein.

4. Give your liver and gut some love. Castor oil pack to remove toxin from liver. Run a gut zoomer.

5. Adrenal fatigue. If under a lot stress. Do dutch test. Sleep longer or just cool out.

6. Toxic load is high. Detox.

I don't understand why I am not in ketosis, but I've lost 43 pounds in 5 months, and my A1C is 4.9. My doctor said ketosis is not always an absolutely necessity, so I guess I'm a poster child for that.

Hi Mindy, I just discovered your channel and I am quite motivated by your understanding of fasting, intermittent fasting, and autophagy! In your videos, you share valid advice that one should work with their doctor when considering longer fasts and looking to reverse disease and lose weight. Unfortunately, my health network is a disaster. My PCP has a 1950's understanding of dieting stating one, that I must have given up, and two that I should lose weight by exercising portion control to reverse hypertension and pre-diabetes. The dietitian that I was assigned to also is against even intermittent fasting stating that it will definitely lower my metabolism. How do I move forward without even rudimentary support from the health system I am locked into?

Gut zoomer? Definitely fatigued adrenals my cortisol is off the charts. My Drs continue to blow off my concerns. 🙏🏻
