The horizontal space limitation is really just encouraging good practice. You might not need to limit lines to 80 characters these days, but it sure as hell makes it more readable to stick under it where practical

I have a Samsung TV as a monitor and i like it because it’s the size of 4 big monitors so I have a lot of freedom as to how I set up the windows, and I can easily watch movies or play games on a bigger screen

One benefit is, when you write code vertically, you write less nested code, making it more readable.
