I've found over the years that mulching with Pine Tree Needles makes the Strawberries even sweeter. They love the acid in the pine needles 😊

Really put effort into finding the perfect spot for them and they grow like weeds. Delicious juicy weeds.

I love watching your videos. I have just ordered 25 eversweet everbearing crowns. I think I learned a lot from your 6 videos about strawberries. Previously I have tried to grow strawberries with not a lot of success. Now I know to cut the runners, water and feed a lot more, how close I can plant them and so much more. I really hope I have more luck this coming year.
I really like to read other people"s comments and notices that you answer them all. Wow. I have never seen that before in all the videos I watch. Keep up the good work and videos. Thank you.

I wanted to get Everbearing but nursery only had June berries. This was my first year growing strawberries. Got 4 plants in early May ( didn't realized until watching I should have clipped runners) but as to date I have about 20 additional plants as a result of the runners!

Thanks Ben, we don’t bother leaving them attached to the parent plant but cut them and just grow them on in moist compost with great results.

Thanks again for the tips. I planted 3 strawberries last year and I am thrilled to see they survived the winter. I’ll be potting up their runners for sure!

My Dad explained how to propagate from strawberry runners a long while ago. It wasn’t until I started a patch that I really understood what he told me. Your demo was full of good tips, like making and using the clips. Waiting for daylight so I can get to it! 😊🍓🍓

Thanks for your exactly prepared videos . I learn a lot for my work in the garden and nearby I improve my English because of your clear pronounciation and the undertitles. It helps me enormously and it's just fun. COMPLIMENT ! Regards and SERVUS from Bine/Austria

Oh, THANK YOU, Ben! I have a bunch of strawberry plants growing against a fence, but they are in the ground and the critters get all the fruit. I’ve wanted to relocate them into growbags where they’ll be a bit safer, but really did not know how to begin. You answered every single one of my questions!

Thank you for another great and informative video Ben . If I only had room to grow one variety it would be Mara Du Bois which is an ever bearing variety. It is a relatively small shorter leafed plant and it produces strawberries for months. Yes the early ones are lovely but have a short cropping season. Mara De Bois keeps going until the first frosts and I am still picking a tray full every other day and the plants are full of flowers. The sizes of them vary but I don’t mind. They are sweet and continuous. I know this is pretty unbelievable but one of this years runners has flowered and produced some fruit and it hasn’t even rooted yet!

I definitely think you need more subscribers! Haven't long found your channel and I find it really informative! I'm in the UK so the information should be OK for me and I won't have to worry about different climates etc, although I do live in Wales where it does rain quite a bit lol!

I’m currently in the process of doing 3 beds of strawberries, each one will have plants that are a year apart from the other, so just replace the 3 year old plants with runners.thanks Ben 👍

Thank you Ben this has been most helpful. Looks like I've a busy afternoon ahead chasing and pinning my runners 😉

You can use regular bobby pins or the U-pin type of bobby pins to hold your runners down as well. That's what I use on some of my indoor plants that put out "babies" like the spider plant.

Ozark strawberries are the best for my area here in Mid Missouri. They produced all summer long with really no care, I use them to border things as a lovely treat as I go along weeding, watering I can also have a berry or two as a gardening reward.
