Also, In music, canon is represented as a repeated theme/string of notes. Notice how in the theme, you can hear a lot of the same triplets (notes grouped in 3), and near the end of the song, you can hear the same rhythm repeated over and over.

I think both could be possible, but I'm just looking at it from a musical standpoint.

Okay the reason why parallel Canon takes the form of our are most Splatoon players Splatoon 2 character is because if you look in Marinas Dev logs the states she needed a guard for the memves and thanks to order messing things up it's now a boss blocking our way because just like how Pearl drone is in the image of pearl parallel Cannon is in the image of agent 4 hence why they're fairly skilled
