Been here since your first VLOG and I can't thank you enough Bob Reynolds! You've helped me stay motivated working hard on my playing, organization and work/life balance. It's amazing to have this insight into a player of your caliber. You have a wonderful family and seem like a great guy! All the best and thank you! Chris

I love playing with effects pedals. A pedal I use to fix the low signal issue is the Roland Space Echo pedal. It has an input volume that I can use to give the signal more volume. It's also a killer delay/reverb. Thanks for making this vlog, hope there's many more than 100

Congrats on hitting 100 Bob! I've been a fan way before the vlogs started and have learned so much from your videos; life changing wisdom at times for me.

Hi Bob- Absolutely showing my age here, but the every lovely Tenor/keyboard duet at the top of vlog #100 reminded me of the Stan Getz/Eddie Sauter collaboration on the album "Focus." I have to believe you know that, even if you were minus-16 when it was released i 1961. The sound, shape of your lines, the harmonic blend were just great-- Stan would be proud!

I saw Janik's vlog before this one and thought 'hey, Bob picked up the Voco Loco pedal!' You mentioned it in the forums on your site when talking about using effects. I picked one up about a month ago and it's a great solution to the problem of using phantom powered mics with pedals. It's basically a direct box with a pre-amp and an effects loop. When you get to a gig all you have to do is get a mic cable from the sound man and plug it into the output of the Voco and plug your mic into the input and you're all set (especially if you have a pedal board). Great for getting on stage and set up in minimal time.

Bob: "Your pancakes sir."
Child: "Yeah."
Bob: "Yeah a little bit hot...How are they?"
Child: "Good"

Classic Bob household ;)

Compliment Comment: Dude! Summer Light is intense! That was sick! You're musical concept and ideas are so mature and drenched in a jazz spirit of tradition and innovation, in that some of those things I would have never thought of but I knew immediately they could become a part in my own playing. Anyways, thank you!

Audio Technica is phenomenal equipment, we swear by it. High-quality at low prices. We also use a Audio Technica LP 120 turntable for vinyl.

I use a Helix Rack with a Lexicon MX200, and Meris Ottobit, Hedra, Polymoon, and Mercury7 in its stereo loops!

Bob, you gotta check new mic before studio. That power adapter on your new mic just converts 11-52 v of phantom power from mixing console or other phantom power source to like 1.5 v required be mic. Old box- like power adapter had 9 v batt and provided phantom power itself, new one dont. It just converts external power. Congrats about 100th ep! Your vlog Always an inspiration for me!

Wow! That pedal footage sounded awesome! Not sure if you listen/listened to it before but it reminds me of Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelt's material they used for Cowboy Bebop. Shameless request, album of this!

cool lol ive tried using pedals a little... and Ive been thinking maybe putting two mics(one for the bell and one for the keys) would help with the eveness of tone and volumn...? thoughts? Not saying your sound is uneven or anything. it has just been a curiosity of mine. I mean, it seems acoustic guitarist often use at least a couple, so...

Congrats on 100 Bob! Hope there's at least 100 more. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what the first solo(s) someone transcribes should be. Also, any info on when lessons are opening up again?

Congrats on 100 episodes! I've enjoyed every one.

When you get some time with the new toys ^H^H^H^H equipment, could you do a vlog on what you've learned and what it sounds like? Have you ever tried some freaky effects chains to get something "other worldly"?

I have the same MIC, Only thing is you need PHANTOM power since it is a Condenser mic. I run mine thru my interface for power when playing live. When playing at home i can plug it into my mac. GREAT mic.
