I understand what to do when I have to sub in the values and I can clearly see what cancels, but I am struggling to grasp the function stuff you also mention and especially when it changes the direction and what stuff cancels threw me off. So like from 25:00 onwards I wasn't too sure. Am I able to still do well in this without getting the function stuff or what can I do to try and make it easier to get? Thanks for all the help with these videos!!

At 23:27 did you forget to cancel out the n^2 and (n-1)^2 from the expressions (n-2)^2(n-1)^2 and (n-1)^2n^2 on the right?

Sir I have a query regarding the function notation. If the summation is of the form f(n)-f(n+1) can you straight away use the fact that sum of un= f(1)-f(n+1)? Also do you have to show the substitutions each time of r=1, 2 etc?
