it took 28 minutes. I peaked in the crucible after 18 minutes and it was semi melted so I added 10 more minutes. there are a lot of variables. the microwave is rated at 1.8kw. my advice is to start with only a few grams of silver pure .999 silver seems to work better than sterling. good luck

Cool and easy way to melt silver but you do not give enough specific information, would be nice to have specific steps on how to do it.
