I would recommend you proceed gradually with cold exposure. I bought a cold plunge two summers ago and set it up in my bathroom. I am a teacher and used it daily all summer, and it felt amazing! I could sit in it for 5 minutes at 50 degrees. It gave me the most zen feeling, and it did remind me of taking a drug. Once school started, I continued my daily cold plunges but noticed I felt unwell. I started having heart palpitations in the afternoons and got very sick twice in a row. I finally connected the dots and realized it could be due to my cold plunges. I stopped them, and all my symptoms went away, and I went back to my healthy baseline. I’m not educated enough in biology to know this for sure, but I feel like the cold plunges worked well in summer because I was relaxed and not stressed, and they increased my cortisol levels to unhealthy levels once I returned to work.

On the other hand, I have been using an infrared sauna 3 to 4 times per week for the past year and have been extremely healthy! I think there is a place for cold and heat exposure in wellness and skin health, and I like Dr. Rajani’s pulse recommendation. Just be sure to always listen to your body, and hopefully, sharing this will help others avoid what I experienced.🥰

Here's one I never hear anyone mention (but women in my family have been using it for generations): new potato juice. Any kind of fresh, organic new or small potatoes, peeled and crushed in a mortar with some ground almonds and/or a little yoghurt if you like, wear as a mask for 20 minutes. It's amazing for dark circles, but also tightens and great for pores.

I always finish my shower with cold water. I sleep in a room at 16 degrees in the dark, when I was a child I lived in the mountains in Austria and the rooms were not heated. I kept this habit and I am in very good health. I am rarely sick. Thanks for your recipes 🙏

oh my gosh, yes! Finally, a dermatologist confirms the only organic skincare process that I have been practicing since I was 19. I am now 63 and it is the cold water treatment to tighten pores. What I do is wash my face with lukewarm water and then cleanse it with my cleanser. After cleanser, I rinse my face with warm water again and then follow it with very cold water. Castor oil topped with aquaphere (sp?) every night. Almond oil grapeseed oil. Never let my skin dry out.
volufiline, peptides, hylauranic acid, bhrt, sleep mask, redlight, and your gua sha and your peel pads. Im 70 and get comments all the time about how good my skin looks. Ive been following you for couple years and really appreciate your diy tips!!! Thank you so much for your videos!

I’m weeping at cold showers. My husband loves them. Sometimes I hear him so a little scream in the morning and I know what’s up 😂😂 I tried them for a while but no mas 😅 I think my ANS is overwired anyway from having been a stress-bunny so it probably overstimulates me.

But I do have a cold mask and I have one of those large pill shaped ice moulds that you fill up with water and store in the freezer for my face. And gua sha is everything! Love it! Anyway - best channel ever! ❤️

I have a recipe for a face mask that I love! It leaves the skin incredibly smooth after!

Mix a teaspoon of matcha green tea ( Preferably organic) with some oil and water. I use castor and argan oil. Just a little bit, maybe a teaspoon, or a bit less. I think it helps to make the mask a little softer. Add small ammounts of water until the paste is of your liking. I put it all over my face with a spoon or my fingers and wait for maybe 30 minutes.

I recommend you to wear something black because matcha is really green. :)

For those who want a sleep mask that provides complete darkness without anything touching your eyes, I swear by the Manta sleep mask. It has eye cups that look kind of like the padding cuffs in noise-canceling earphones, and you can velcro them in the exact positioning you need to get complete blackout. I've worn them with eyelash extensions and still can't feel anything touching my lids. I could never wear other masks bc my nose would raise the mask enough to let some light peep in, but the Manta solved that problem.

We sleep cold and do not use heat in house in winter. My husband hates it but I sleep so much better and feel more active during the day and evening. Your Gua sha is amazing !
