MG has launched the all-new Windsor EV at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with an additional ₹3.5/km rental for the battery as part of the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. This unique offering means you own the car but not the battery. The MG Windsor EV features a 38kWh battery pack powering a single motor that delivers 134bhp and 200Nm of torque, with an ARAI claimed range of 332km.

The exterior design showcases full-width LED lights, an illuminated MG logo, and 18-inch wheels. The Windsor also offers an impressive 604 litres of boot space. Inside, the spacious and airy cabin features a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that controls nearly all vehicle functions, paired with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The rear seats offer a business-class experience, reclining up to 135 degrees, and the front seats can be fully flattened for added comfort.

Lenny takes the MG Windsor EV for a drive on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway to evaluate its performance, ride quality, and handling at both slow and high speeds.

Pricing including battery looks good to me as compared to other EV in market in the segment. 3 things seem missing 1. Larger Battery Pack Option 2. ADAS 3. Rear Wiper

1500km minimum BAAS payments per month will kill that scheme..

Feels like there's some design inspiration taken from the Citroen Picasso that's sold in Europe

I have less driving, will baas will be better option for me if my driving is only 500-600km per month, I can get top model for 12.49 lac and I have to pay only 3.5 per km so I can drive for 1, 00, 000 km in just 3.5lac that too in installments, so by my driving pattern it will take many years to reach 1 lac km, so I think Baas is cheaper option than paying full price outright

Okay a genuine question, I already booked the top variant but I am confused about the battery purchase, as my running is around 500km per month max. So I decided to opt out for viduyt plan of 3.5rs/km, it’s gonna cost me 1700 rental + 500 for electricity that too is cheaper in delhi so like total of 2200 per month ? That’s like 26000 per year that’s like 13 years to catch the actual battery price I.e 3.5lakh ? I am just concerned is it too good to be true ? Or they have some hidden charges in it ? Well I asked from MG they said it is what it is no extra charges. Comments on this ?

The 60% resale value that MG is promising, is only valid if you exchange your Windsor with another MG EV?
Some clarification needed!

outright purchase is the better option . . . the MG Windsor EV is best suited in the city & occasional stint to ur farm house in suburban Noida . . .

The BAAS introductory price is just for the base model ? what about the top model? I

Is the ₹1500/month including taxes? or the taxes extra?

Would you pick the MG Windsor EV over the likes of the Nexon EV or XUV400?

Sir, I will pay for battery and I will take finance for car - in that case what they will say? - when they say payfull get loan for car and battery loan for then why not pay for battery and loan for vehicle ? like instead of BaaS i want to go VaaS(vehicle as a service)

Ev is the trump card that brand will earn more money after selling car to customers

Dishonest review. 220-240kms real world range is not a decent range. One single factor that can truly incite confidence into a car buyer to switch to EV is good range, there should've atleast been a long range version.

if you gotta charge the battery yourself, battery as a service makes no sense. truly a bogus gimmick imo
