Does water have memory?

1796: Samuel Hahnemann discovers that like cures like, that disease symptoms in a healthy person will cure the same symptoms in sick person. This is achieved by diluting the substance in alcohol or distilled water.

The resulting dilution cures sick person but it may be so diluted that it does not contain a single molecule of the source substance. Instead, the water has remembered the healing properties of the substance.

Is the secret of curing illness like cures like?

Can water pass on healing properties of a substance that has been diluted out of it?

Homeopathy is a pseudoscience, nonsense wrapped in scientific sounding jargon.

Dilutions are measured on the Centesimal - or C - Scale. A 1C dilution contains one-part substance and 99 parts water.

A 2C dilution takes one part of the 1C solution and dilutes it into another 99 parts water. Or one-part original substance to 10,000 parts water.

Counter to all scientific evidence, homeopaths claim the more diluted the original substance the higher the potency.

At 13C (think, one drop substance diluted in the entirety Earth's oceans) there is not a single molecule of the original substance remaining. Homeopaths regularly supply dilutions of 30C potency or above. This equated to one part substance diluted in a body of water the size of the solar system.

Study after study after study have proven that homeopathy is at best a placebo, relying on the patient's belief that the treatment has improved their health.

Can a 200C dilution of duck liver cure the flu? Without the acceptance of many, many multiverses there are not enough molecules in existence to allow for one molecule of duck liver to be diluted to this level.

I agree with your points on homeopathy however, by introducing "water memory" you may be conflating mechanisms. Today, water memory is an empirically demonstrated transmission phenomena using EM and a developing understanding of water physics.

this didn't explain anything you just told us its pseudo science and that it goes against most of what we know, you didn't show any experiments disproving it and you also did not present all of the evidence for homeopathy, you automatically dismissed the idea because you cannot fathom. I truly hope you do more research on a topic before dismissing it in the future.

Militant progressive? If by debunk you mean fairly succinctly explain why something could not possibly be true by any stretch of logic then I think he did a pretty good job. If you don't think it was thorough enough then do better. Unless of course you subscribe to the efficacy of homeopathy in which case, read a book!
