4:05 I don't care that it's fake. You could not pay me enough to do this scene with that animatronic.

Outside of the first two Jaws this is the best shark movie out there.

What a great line!

These animatronics are nothing short of masterful. If I saw that thing in the water with me my soul would leave my body.

I was born in the early 90’s and was so obsessed with this movie 😂 I used to watch it religiously. It’s my favorite shark movie behind Jaws (obviously). It’s Such a fun movie!

Jaws 1 and Deep Blue Sea are the only best of the best shark films. The music for this movie is also fantastic.

I wish that they use 100% practical effects and zero cgi. CGI aged like milk.

I watched this in the cinema when I was like 15 and when Samuel was killed it was the scariest and funniest moment ever. It went from everyone gasping and screaming, to everyone bursting out laughing, to everyone just straight confused and wondering if anyone was gonna actually survive to the end. Everyone left the cinema high fiving each other like we were also one of the survivors. One of my best teenage memories.

The part where the director brags about the realism of the CGI is actually hilarious. The CGI is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. The actual animatronics is some of the best I’ve ever seen. The way he challenges the viewers to find the distinction between the two is unbelievably funny 🤣

Aside from a couple of questionable CGI scenes, this movie nailed it with the sharks. Still the best and most exciting one after Jaws.
I don't know why they can't seem to figure it out these days, they pump out sharkmovies like it's nothing and most of them suck.
Shoutout to 47 meters down and The shallows, they were good enough (but nowhere near as fun as DBS).

The eighties were the decade of animatronics, so this would be a natural continuation of that. But this looks so much better than 'Bruce'. I would've been terrified if I were an actor or stunt double having to share the water with these darlings.

Happy 25th anniversary Deep Blue Sea. My second favorite shark movie. Jaws will always be number 1 for me. Thanks for posting this.🦈

Love this movie. I was 9 when I saw it in theaters with my dad. Terrified me and stuck with me more than Jaws ever did.
