I always thought that the R8 and Gallardo shared the same engines, but that was only for later years. Older Gallardos actually have an even firing v10. So it sounds like a LFA

Actual it isn't just the crankshaft it also could be the bank angle not all v10s use a 90 like the audi. The Lexus might just be a 72 degree bank

On an even firing engine that fires lrlr if an x or y pipe is used the banks will harmonize and it will produce a note that is an octave higher.

Odd Fire engines have every other firing event happening at a different degree of the crank: Thus, Chevy V6 would be 150-90-150-90-150-90 degree firing events relative to the crankshaft, with a common rod pin in a 90 degree block. Versus Even Fire being 120-120-120-120-120-120 degrees

No wonder they sound different. At first I thought the v10 r8s and Lamborghini e.t.c are crossplane v10s while the screaming v10s like lexus LFA and Carrera gt e.t.c are like flatplane v10s
