The 1979 version was scarier because of Glick’s emotion and facial expressions: His anticipation of Mark opening the window, like he was insatiably thirsty, and then the extreme disappointment when Mark chose not to open it. It made it more realistic and terrifying.

Close your curtains and you’d not have to deal with this stuff.

Dude... this part of the book scared the absolute shit out of me when I read it as a young teen. I was watching my window every night for about a year, King's ability to really make you feel like you're there in tbe book with the characters is incredible.

Great scene but nothing matches the sheer terror of the original 1979 version

The kid who played Danny Glick stole the entire movie IMO.

If I were sleeping in a bedroom with multiple windows, ALL the curtains would be drawn! And the windows locked!

Never saw the original or read the novel, so I came into this movie as a newbie. It was solid 7, not scary but entertaining! This scene was spooky! Old school vampire style always get my vote!

My homeless adulterous ex wife knocked on my window for weeks to be let back in. I made a cross with my middle fingers and she ran away, never to return. This movie is a survival guide. 😂

Better than the 2004 version, but nowhere near as good as 1979

Damn Mark had the poster for the movie 1974 cult horror classic "Sugar Hill" starring Marki Bey, Richard Lawson and the late Zara Culley aka Mother Jefferson. What a nice touch by the movie producers.

Was kinda hoping we could see Ralphie come as a vampire too to Danny’s window but no :(

Jeez that movie is much better than a roast from podcasters who would be shitting it if they watched it alone!!! Great scene at window too

They made Mark too fearless in this version. He's supposed to be scared shitless.

When I was a kid I thought Nightmare on Elm Street was the scariest movie I ever saw. I watched it as an adult and I laughed.

Aren't there 2 scenes in 1979? Danny and Ralphy? The first (Ralphy) is much scarier.

People bitching about this version not having a story but not acknowledging the amazing effects and scares…if you want a story, watch the old one, if you want action…THIS is for you

This version is much closer to the source material than the 70s’ version- but it’s so rushed, that it barely has any impact. What a missed opportunity…
