Last year, my husband and I got into a fight so I drove into a Walmart parking lot and sat and watched this movie in my car and it was so bad that the fight seemed like nothing.

If this movie didn't already have an unconvincing plot, the fact that the plastics are seniors and dress like they're going to an 8th grade formal and are somehow popular really takes you out of it

The fact that the costumes from Mean Girls 1 aged so well, and the costumes in Mean Girls 2 aged so HORRIBLY is kind of a testament to how great the original was. Also, WHY were they calling themselves "The Plastics"?!?! In the first movie, "Plastics" is a nickname Janis came up with to make fun of Regina and her friends, and it was strictly an inside joke between Janis, Damian and Cady. They weren't ACTUALLY walking around calling themselves "The Plastics"

i love how the entire point of mean girls 1 went over their heads, the whole thing was that they were ALL mean girls, the popular girls and the outcasts alike. plus why do they call themselves the plastics? 😭 they’re insulting themselves, plastics was a term Janis made up to make fun of regina george and her friends behind her back, they didn’t actually go around calling themselves plastic.

There are two facts about this movie that I find really telling:
1.) I forgot there was a Mean Girls 2
2.) I forgot I have previously watched Mean Girls 2

The original Mean Girls is ICONIC...This sequel could literally be used to torture people.

I feel like a lot of imitations forget the fundamental thing about Mean Girls. EVERYONE is mean- it's not just the top girls being mean to the outcasts. And everyone's the meanest to their friends because they know where to hit them the hardest.

In the original, Regina WAS mean, but she was still a vulnerable teenage girl, and received her own happy ending. Mandi is over the top, and is punished by the end.

“Fun” fact. Most of the main girls are Disney Channel “stars”. Abby is played by Jennifer Stone who played Harper on Wizards of Waverly place. Mandi is played by Maiara Walsh who played Cory’s love interest on the That’s so Raven spin-off (she also played a recurring character on Switched at Birth) And Jo is played by Meagan Martin who played the mean girl Tess in Camp Rock. Chastity is played by Clare Holt who got her start on the Australian show H20 just add water. Then became well known for her character of Rebekah on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, actually becoming the most successful of the four.

The "mean girls" outfits is something a 8 year old girl would wear. All their accessories look like they were bought from claires. When was this style ever in?

The most unbelievable part of this whole thing was Abby being an outcast.. I was trying to rack my brains to figure out if I ever knew a kid who was simultaneously the richest and least popular person in school. I'm sure it's happened before, but I am very skeptical when the girl was otherwise very "normal" (if unlucky).

In the princess diaries, Anne Hathaway actually did fall and make that noise very much not on purpose. But it fit her character so much they kept it in.

This movie took 22 days to make...and it shows....*__* Can't believe they would put so little effort into a sequel to such an iconic film. The actors were even shook.
