I have a steam deck and i play Gamecube games, PS2 games, gameboy games, PS1 games, DS games, Nintendo switch games, PC games, Atari Games, Xbox 360 games 🥶🥶 probably the best console i ever had in my life you can get any game, even if the game dropped 1 month ago.

Some non compatible games work too, sometimes it’s just icons or bad graphics if you put them at high. Like for example first descendant works really good with a bit of buffer now and then on steam deck.

The steam deck not using windows is what makes it good imo

btw some games that are marked by untested or non compatible can just be still installed and can be configured with Steam input

It should probably also be noted that the majority of games on steam are supported, due to "Proton", which allows Windows games to run on Linux. Most of the games that don't work are ones with strict anti-cheats, such as Apex Legends or Destiny 2.

It has PC games and you can emulate games from past consoles, which means that handheld PC can play around 2.9 billion games.

Yes you can emulate every single one of those games that come free in those other handhelds on the steamdeck too

Steamdeck with dock hooked up to keyboard and mouse and your set. Just hook up to big tv 😎👍

I don’t have a pc but I want to play steam games . Should I get a steam deck or just get a pc ? The regular lcd steam deck is now $399 …. Which one is better for someone on a budget but wants to play steam games ?

btw MAfia 2 also runs GREAT on the SD just don't turn on the Nvidia physicals setting

Speaking of compatibility, on the off occasion some games run better. For example Fallout New Vegas would not open out of the box on windows for me, this is a common issue and you have to install a mod to get it to get past the opening cutscene.

On Steam Deck however plays perfectly fine, no issues no mod needed. There was another game that did this but can't remember which one it was.
