Rick Parks is a brave man. He sacrificed his relationship, his job, and risked his life to stop what he thought could’ve been even worse than what had happened by then. Rick Parks, you are someone people should look up to. If your reading this, thank you for giving your side of the story, and I pray that you live a long life.

I lived through it, living in PA, and it was very scary. Especially as a young person seeing it unfold after all the cold war, anti-nuclear fallout training we went through as little kids.

Holy shit this is *wildly* conspiratorial, alarmist, and apparently blind to simple facts.

After listening to the show and watching Lake's actions, words, and movements its so easy to tell the lies he constantly spews out. He tries going back on it but only gets upset near the end because the interviewer was countering his claims with questions stating his false claims are simply that, false.

Its insane to think that people think this documentary is about nuclear power plants being bad and instead is about corruption, greed, and idiots running wild in high positions. Greed rots and this incident is one of many. Hope Lake gets what he deserves through his constant lying and harm of the public, which was the opposite of what he was meant to do.

Three Mile Island pre dates Chornobyl by 7 years, on the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES) Three Mile Island is a Level 5 / Chornobyl and Fukushima are at its highest level which is 7!!

"You'd have to have a camera on both corners of their mouth to figure out which one they were lying of."

What a fvcking great line. Rick Parks is an absolute badass.

That Berret guy pissed me off, that unbelievable audacity to be that arrogant and cocky just blows my mind. We need more people like Rick and others who make sure the faith of humanity is in good hands. Hats off to you 🙌

I wonder if I'll see my father. He was the project manager for TMI 2 for Burns and Roe during its construction. He was building the power plant at the Hanford reservation in eastern Washington in '79 when TMI 2 melted. The next day, he and his assistant chief engineer were on the island with their giant leather-bound blueprints. He slept there for 30 days as he supervised the cool-down. I still have the photo they took with a high-resolution camera from the helicopter flying over the cooling tower on day one. He was a nuclear sub commander before entering the private sector as a nuclear engineer.

I hope to go this isn’t about how horrible the nuclear industry is because it needs more support than hate. It’s hands down one of the safest and most useful ways to get clean energy and it already has the stigma of being horrible as is. Please don’t make it worse.

Chilling, but interesting as well, and, it also covers a historical event I know very little about.

I'm really surprised how little this incident is talked about. Never heard it mentioned once in my school years. It'll be great to learn more about it.

I hope this discusses everything that changed in the US nuclear industry because of this event. Talking about TMI without talking about INPO and reactor operator training is an incomplete story.

Moral of the story: Greed knows no boundaries…profits above everything!

My parents were building their first home when this happened about five miles away from the plant and they decided to stay, scared to death. Both passed away from cancer at young ages. I'll be very interested to see what direction this takes!

I was three and lived 10 miles from the plant in Hummelstown. I still remember the taste in the air. This memory is burned into my brain like it was yesterday.

I lived in East Manchester, PA when I was younger and three mile island was visible from our backyard across the cornfields and behind lots of trees you can see the huge concrete structures. Looking forward to watching!
