Christians interpret what is called as Old Testament through the lens of the New Testament. The earliest Christians were all of Jewish descent, raised in Jewish tradition, but they came to view Jesus as the Christ. And this changed a whole lot of things.

Very nice video. More Christians would do well to learn about the hatchet job of manipulation and distortion that evangelical Christians do on Daniel 9. Not that they'd necessarily convert away from Christianity, but simply avoid making fools out of themselves with this particular Christian apologetic. It was actually never part of my own Christianity before I left for different reasons altogether. Only after the fact did it become a curiosity but something worth knowing.

So who is the one that set himself up as God and spoke abominations against the most high? I have always believed what the church teaches has already happened but haven t been able to piece it together. In the christian bible things jump around so much. And the end time spoken of and what was sealed up and the people will go to and fro and knowledge will increase is about what?

"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city" - Israel has 70 week... but for what? to do what?

" to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity" - Israel is in the middle of babylonian Exile !!! they have 70 weeks to repent of the cause of exile.

"and to anoint the most Holy" - within 70 week they will ID and anoint the messiah... and i will point out that "the most holy" is God, so God himself will be the Messiah.
