I have used melalumin and yes it works, I got really chapped and dark lips while I was on accutane and it helped a lot! also try applying it after you apply some warm water onto your lips and remove the dry skin ( which is now softened) with a towel soaked in warm water. Helps get the dead skin off and then the lip balm does its job really well.

Most affordable and useful is himalaya lip balm it cost just 30 rs and is better than vaseline becoz if you put vaseline under sun it may result in darkness so use himalaya lip
