For anyone who might need this information: If you ever have a situation like this or where you spill any kind of oil in a high traffic area, dump cat litter or the saw dust used for pet bedding on it and let it sit for a while. It will absorb the oul and you van sweep it up, them mop the area with a degreaser (Dawn dish soap will work in a pinch).

I know that feeling! A few weeks ago our dishwasher broke down, so the day was already long and stressful. It was close to midnight, when we were nearly finished cleaning the kitchen, only five minutes of work left to do. And then... the chef dropped a few liters of stew... It splashed through half the kitchen. We were so damn frustrated, but it was so damn funny at the same time, we just burst out into laughter. And ye, cleaned the kitchen again xD
