This film did weird shit to me in the best way. When I was a toddler it felt dark sometimes, vivid but dark in the sense of how fever dreamish it was at points. I think my dreams as a toddler gave me false memories that make movies like this seem nostalgic. This film is indescribable to me. I can’t explain what it did, but it felt good. Instant favourite.

The animation of this movie looks nothing like from any anime during 1988 it looks more like it was released from the mid-late 90's if i didn't know i would guess it was released in 1998.

Akira.. I still temember that it was the best animation I've ever watched through my own life. And it had inspired me with ambitions of new ideas to think of reevaluating anime that I've seen just once before. Thanks for uploading this magnificent video!

I loved when the Sci Fi Channel said it made "Blade Runner look like Disney World." I saw that as a kid and was tripping. I had to see it. I think I was in 2nd grade when it aired then. Lol.
