I’m so happy to hear your thoughts on comps! I agree with you!

My closet is new and I completely agree. If you don't ask for what you want, you won't get it.

This is GOLD!! The Goodwill analogy was GOLD! I kinda had a bit of an issue earlier today w/a customer sending me BO's on a home decor piece that I have @ $25 + shipping (which will be about $14 clear across the nation). She said my price was "too pricey". Then after a few more rounds, she sent what she said was her "BO, because it's USED and would need some work". I wrote back & professionally said that I wished I could "work with her", but I left it at my counter price and told her that actually the piece was in terrific condition & didn't need anything! I stuck to my guns. I know this item will sell for the asking price or close to it, so not going to accept her reasoning. I have had colleagues tell me my pricing is "too high" & I mean they were bullies about it!! This kind of attitude can really affect newbies who might not have the confidence a more seasoned seller has and it really irks me!!

Your so right My Dear.. Too be honest .. I was making way more money on Poshmark and Mercari when I didn’t check or base my prices on comps .. Think I will return too my original concept 🌸😊

I feel like some people are desperate to sell stuff because it’s summer. It’s bringing the price of the comps way down. Like a race to the bottom. So I entirely agree with what your saying!
I sold on eBay for 10 plus years every summer my vintage kitchen stuff I sold went way down. Then went back to normal price come fall. Meanwhile I sold at the flea market 2-3 times a week then come fall got back on the internet . So just saying that’s how I used to handle it. This method may not work so well for me today. My circumstances have changed.

I’ve always been told not to decline offers. You counter.

Agree with all the above!! I think a lot of YTers lately have been advertising that they accept 8, 10 15 dollar offers but hey that’s on them. I once read to take the comps with a grain of salt and it’s true you can pretty much charge whatever you want. Because even if it’s the same dress that you saw on eBay not all buyers are created equal. Maybe the next buyer would pay 50! It’s all about perceived value and you’re right photographs and good active poshers should have a mark up on their items because it’s more work. People complain all the time that sellers don’t respond to offers or forget to ship items. Sorry to say that you get what you pay for sweetie!

My highest priced items don't even sale. I have an authentic coach purse that is NWOT listed for $100 and it still has not sold.😥

Let the low offers stay until it expires in 24 hours.

THANK YOU for mentioning comps!!
I look at comps to see what’s out there but I don’t use other ppl’s pricing as if I HAVE TO price my items the same. I instead try to take great pics showing details & give as much info on the item.as possible. I believe this has helped me make the sale. I enjoy all the info that you share with us THANK YOU!! 😊😊 @estrellas_Niche
