So many baby fish! The bushynose plecos (ancistrus) have been busy breeding up a storm. Join as we move the new born baby fish from their cave to their grow out tanks. My goal is to provide healthy fish that have been raised on quality food and grow to their fastest potential.

Here at Wild Fish Tanks aquarium channel we collect different species of aquarium fish and aquatic plants for your freshwater aquarium. Native Florida but no limit to where we may explore, We focus on keeping it cheap, learning and sharing our knowledge of the tropical fish hobby, and even try our hand at breeding our pet fish and shrimp!

Great video, thanks for sharing.
New to keeping Bristlenose Pleco's, and I've had fish for about 17 years.
Six months ago I bought four: two albino and two brown.

They're all in a community tank, so just working out what these cute fish are all about as my other fish are Guppy's, Molly's and Tetra Neons, so this is the first time I've had fish that lay eggs. The albino dad had his first batch of wrigglers.

You mentioned in one of the comments that they can breed every 5-6 weeks.

1. How long are they able to breed for, what ages do they stop breeding?

2. What ages can they live up to? I've read anywhere between 8-10 years or more?

3. One brown female has the fins near her face that are shaped like an 'L', which I've never seen prior - do you know what the name of this variety is called?

Thanks again.

I was wondering.. I have the same red pleco and he is hiding babies in a log. Do the babies come out on their own? When to big.

There is a local dude (to me) who breeds SR BN's that are ACTUALLY red. I cannot wait to get some!! The only place I've ever seen actually red SR BN's is for sale on AquaBid for a ridiculous amount of money. Ooh, and Greg Sage's Green Dragon LF BN's. I love BN's. They're such great little fish. Attractive, eat algae, and stay small and gentle. What's not to love?!

Quick question. My albino bristlenose just had babies. I am not a breeder. Do I have to put them in a different tank?

Take a picture when you have teh babies in a smaller container like you dumped them in, shoe box size plastic sterilite prob better so they spread out a little more. Count babies in teh pic.

Hello, I finally managed to breed small suckers in the aquarium after 8 years. When I feed them, there are maybe 100 of them in a pile. I give them FLORA flakes. Now I tried carrots but I don't like them. I will try to change my diet and try frozen spinach. Can I find you on Facebook?
