All is forgivable but the Alcantara isn’t forgivable.

I have the FK8 and got a bunch of replacement trim pieces from Sweidit that look like that, but the backseat is still regular cloth. It would be cool if Honda did a refresh of the FL5 to bring it up to spec with this one.

The clear vs amber lights? It's a US law. Front side-marker lights have to be amber.

US always gets screwed. There’s rarely ever been an imported enthusiast car that wasn’t better overseas due to little touches here and there.

This spec. is the same as mine here in Europe (Germany), and we always have parking sensors as standard.
In Germany, the panic button is not needed because you are not actually attacked in the car, robbed or the car is stolen "with you in it".
An exchange student from Michigan didn't like driving because of this danger. She now enjoys it here. Even on the German Autobahn 😜

In USA and Canada it’s a DOT requirement to have amber reflectors in the headlights and/or front bumper. Thus why lots of BMWs have amber reflectors in their front bumpers whereas euro spec and JDM spec BMWs don’t. Heck even the Mexican spec BMWs don’t have amber reflectors in them only the USA and Canada spec ones do

Anyone who has ever had the Alcantara steering wheel(dirt/oil magnet) knows what the Alcantara backseat will look like eventually…no thanks! I do like the rear fog light option and possibly the power folding mirrors. Honestly…I’d like to acquire the HPD CTR 200lb weight reduction options that were shown on the Acura Type S concept. Supposedly they’ll be a CTR version available as well. Rear seat delete, carbon fiber door cards, dual oil coolers, hood, wheels etc.

I saw a video the 10th gen civic in ireland has power folding mirrors. I wish this was a standard feature in cars in NA. It's crazy how thats a luxury car feature.

I was at Honda discovery center in tokyo and went to basement to see type r, but i didnt look in back seat even though i sat in it. I wish i had to know Alcantara 😢

This isn't the first time Honda put more features or "luxury" features into its international models and put less in US versions. Same happened with Accord in 2012 where in China it had power folding mirrors etc. Again I don't say their Japanese JDM models have more features because it's obvious. I mean they put more stuff into versions that are sold in China and other countries. Sometimes I think they do smallest increments possible so their target audience keeps buying their cars. I wish they did more but I already got used to their habits. I'm waiting for the next Odyssey. I hope they will go big, and not just do small incremental steps...
