I watched this video and I have slightly different keyfob. Look for contacts near the battery like springs and just put them in a better contact position. This solved my issue.

Worked for me on my 2008 Civic. I now have 2 spare keys. At least on my Honda, you can only have a maximum of 3 programmed keys.

I have an HRV that had new keys programmed for it from a towing company. The original keys no longer work. Will this work to program the older keys? Reason being is that the old keys don't have the auto lock and alarm system

Sometimes I wonder why the lines of the hood differ on different civics, I’ve seen ones that are almost non existent to ones that look as your peering into a dark void, which I assume it’s just hood gaps from it being in an accident.
