I always toast the bread until slightly burned it makes a nice flavour with the tomatoes

I make mine on soft honey wheat bread, some mayo, salt, lemon pepper, red pepper flakes, fresh chives, and thick sliced tomato. 👩🏾‍🍳💋

Excellent sandwich! But it really gits better with a slice of Vidalia onion on it! Once the vidalia's are in season...i eat these sandwiches for a week or more!!

Skip the mayo on the other side and do mustard. Much better. Another good simple sandwich is to switch the tomato for cucumber 🤗💚
