You've watched the YouTube pros and have this burning question... How are they all such naturals in front of the camera? And why can't you be more like that? I'm here to fill you in on a little secret. Most of us that you're watching on YouTube aren't "naturals" on the camera. In fact, some of us still cringe when we see our early videos.

In this video, I'm going to be sharing some tips with you on how you can go from cringeworthy to confident by showing you how you can appear to be a "natural on camera." That's right, looking like a natural on camera doesn't take any sort of special talent, just practice.

The smiling has helped me. I try to image I'm talking to a roomful of people, because if things take off, I will be doing just that. I naturally sit on the edge of the seat. I use a script, and shoot for the edit anyway. What I'm doing: reading my novels with sound and b-roll.

Hi Trena,
Thank you for the tips, what do you think about using powerpoint in teleprompter, so that you use bullet points plan without scripting yourself out completely because you always have whole concept in mind. but you would have to mirror-flip the slides using this ppt-mirror.com tool.

Thank you so much for ALL your videos!! I've recently been bingeing them but instead of an actual netflix binge they are SO USEFUL. I put my first video up so nonchalantly but you have an inspired me to ACTUALLY come up with a strategy. Yay!

Great tips Trina! I do sit on the edge of my seat and love what I put out there. I do want to remember to smile more so I printed smiley lips and post them by my camera to remember to smile more. With my personality I wouldn't do it if I wasn't prepared.😃

Great tips Trena👏🏻 I also sit on edge of my seat when recording:) talking with a smile & enthusiasm/passion is SO key! Another thing I do is play my favorite music🙌🏼 & pray for the Lord to use me and gifts to encourage others. It helped me to do my first video years ago to realize it’s not about me...it about my viewer, to give them what they want & need. I’m still a newbie and I know it takes lots of practice but most importantly having fun and bringing JOY to others. Thanks again dear for another great video💐🌸💛~Shannon

Lol I do like 50 cuts per video. I MUST watch back so I can edit out all the awkward pauses and swearing when I mess up haha.
