Keyword “Atlantic”. The smaller, Pacific Bluefin, is definitely endangered.

The world is bigger than the north atlantic ocean. Even so, the population in the north athlantic ocean is vastly smaller compared to a 100 years ago

Bro, please clarify the species. Your vids are being watched around the world

this reminds me of when he asked Cam Faria, a fishing guide, if commercial fishing is the primary cause of striper deaths. To which he said that it was the fault of recreational fisherman, even though commercial fishing literally just kills all of the breeder fish

Asking a fisherman is the prized fish they are after endangered, and they said no. Definitely no element of bias. Oh, btw, what method did they use to achieve that conclusion?

Bruh. There are many fish species that have lost 95-99% of their pre-industrial era population.

It's like interviewing someone who sells tabacco and asking them if cigarettes causes cancer.

Of course if you ask any fisherman they will always say bluefin tuna is not endangered at all. Say the otherwise and he loses his job😂

Let’s ask a fisherman whose livelihood is fishing if a fish he’s catching is endangered. His response will shock you.

The Atlantic one is fine, the pacific ones are overfished heavily by Asian countries

It depends on the time period you are comparing the present to. Sure, compared to the 80s or 90s the population is doing a lot better. But compare it to what it would have been 1000 years ago. I think all vulnerability classifications should be done by comparing current populations to ‘actually’ historical populations, as in far before the Industrial Revolution.

Don’t buy it, every fish caught 100 years ago were giants, now giants are rare because it takes 40 years for them to get that large! Look at that tiny fish you are harvesting.
