I agree totally, and have a similar thinking on advice. Even when people ask you for advice, even beg you to give it to them, they still don't want it or will follow it. They say they want it, or need it, but don't have the willpower or motivation to use the advice given to them. Sometimes they might come back much later, and say they should have followed the advice you or someone else gave them, but didn't.

Unsolicited advice is annoying and give off an air of superiority and even when you feel that you might be right alienating people as well as making them angry and annoyed with you is never a win and it never really solves fixes or accomplishes anything.
