I've caught mullet off those Piers in the summer, using thawed out mackerel and a bubble float. With around a size 12 hooks, fleurocarbon.... just casting by sight and sink and draw. Using a John Wilson Avon quiver rod. Great sport too. Well done 👍

We’d call the bigger of what you caught panfish here in the states, because they just fit in small frying pan, when I come over to visit my relatives, I’m thinking of renting a camper van and buying some fishing gear and go for a tour of Ireland, catch some fish and cook them up, I went to culinary school so think cooking fish should be easy

Hi Senanayake I was down at that pier last weekend well I’m there most weekends over the summer but would you believe we where catching wrease on normal earth worms I couldn’t believe it it was a older wiser man that told me about it I was in shock it worked a charm caught load even a few very small pollock / colley

I’ll be visiting Ireland and Scotland next August. Do you think these fish could be caught with a fly rod?

Absolutely smashing vid mate, just a wee tip for when your digging worm next time bring two buckets and separate then cause the rag will kill off the lug very fast and they’ll go to shit then but keep up the good work

Great fishing. That was a Pouting you caught earlier on. I don't think it's a great idea to show the location so clearly as you might find the kill everything brigade will show up. The wrasse won't be so plentiful then! They don't cope well with heavy angling pressure.

Up to you of course. But if it was one of my fishing spots I wouldn't be pleased? Great video otherwise.

That's some good fishing. Thank you for taking us along.
Have a look at an American bass fishing channel called Ayo.
Might be helpful. Be well.

Nice day fishing. There is no license required to dig for lug?
Have you ever tried the pier of Enniscrone in the north west? Most other spots are a bit far away for me.
