Let Sea Turtles Off the Hook - Earth Hour 2015

Each year in Colombia, thousands of sea turtles die due to accidental capture by longline J-hooks used by the fishermen. Thankfully, a solution already exists - using circle hooks will mean increased efficiency in catching larger fish¬ hence more income for fishermen while also avoiding unwanted by-catch and killing sea turtles. Help WWF-Columbia reach our goal of $20,000 so that we can provide these circle hooks for fishermen who are unable to afford them, and keep sea turtles alive while improving the lives of fishing communities impacted by climate change.
