Let's Help The Baby Turtles! 🐢

How to help baby turtles during nesting season:
1️⃣Pick up trash.
2️⃣Fill up holes and tear down sandcastles at the end of the day (baby turtles can fall in holes).
3️⃣Turn off lights as hatched turtles use the sun to guide them into the water. Artificial lights can lead baby turtles in the wrong direction.
4️⃣Remove obstacles such as beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc. at night.
5️⃣Leave the turtles alone. Do not interfere. (It's illegal to touch sea turtles.)

Only one in every 1,000 sea turtles that hatch actually survive to adulthood.
