I got to meet Mr. Irvin this year irl, very captivating whenever he speaks. He speaks with such conviction, somber, and passion. He has such a brilliant light that shines through his hardships in his stories. Just wanted to add that he's a very kind soul, not only on stage, but over breakfast at a work event. 💜

What a powerful speaker. Thank you for a touching message. I think we all thought we were done growing up at 22, and even if we didn't go to prison many of us have made messes of our lives that we've spent decades cleaning up.
Thank you again

I came to the comments to see what people would say.... I expected to see people saying negative things. This man did what he did and maturly accepted it and explained. I just wish people would keep this same loving energy when a person has been tried before he's been found guilty

"I would not wish prisons on anyone." I believe in second chances and offering people rehabilitation, but let's not pretend that every inmate can be reintroduced to civilian life without risk of recidivism. There are high risk offenders that should be confined to their cell for life. Not everyone can change. To suggest otherwise is naive optimism.

Met teens younger than him spending 25 years for murder and one with a life sentence. Very sad
