The road noise is from the run flat tires. Transmission shifting is fine. I have the car. I love it.

1yr with the GLB 250: Head replaced at 20k. Car over heated a few months later and back in the shop for a stuck thermostat. First time driving it in the snow this morning and the 4matic (AWD system) stopped working turning it into a FWD vehicle. I really miss my WRX.

I’m so glad i saw this—i’ve had my GLB since Jan after trading in my BELOVED GLK. I seriously thought something was wrong with it because of how jerky and jumpy it can get when in lower gears, and was considering trading it in. I still don’t love that it does that, but at least i know it’s just the type of engine and it’s not a lemon! It can be alarming at times though if you’re not used to it—from a stop, it can feel like the car jumps forward a bit. It’s no GLK, but it’s a very good substitute.

Great video ! I love the car especially at night. I do agree it is somewhat loud but overall it’s a nice car to have . The gears were something new to me. Also I didn’t have to pay extra for the sunroof and also has heated seats . I think the only thing I paid for was the illuminating star on front grill was about $800. The display are a huge plus for me .

Bmw is the same and now these vehicles are trying to add subscriptions 🤦🏽‍♀️. This is why I buy slightly used because you can get fully loaded that someone else already added lol!

I think it is one of the best shrt reviews of a car. but I think one of the best features in this car is the feeling of steering when you drive them around, and in long Distance rides. I have an 2015 GLK Mercedes and I dont think I would change it any time soon. It feels great.

I like your honest analysis for GLB.
You helped me lot to make decision.
Thank you!

Completely agree! I just trade it for other suv not so fancy but comes with all the extras features that’s are standard in other cars these days. Other thing I didn’t like is the stiffness of the seats. More cushion would make the difference in a long trip.

Nolan, just ad a bigger tire on the GLB, more quality rubber means less roadnoise. But overall, nice overview of the Merc . Grtz for the Netherlands.

Hey Nolan. I am in agreement with you on all of these. I would pick this GLB over the GLA. I also feel like this is a better CPO buy in about 18-24 months.

New transmissions really are clunky. I have a 2019 C300 and you feel those gear changes. I had it checked out by a foreman because it honestly didn't feel like it was designed to be this way. Turns out it's designed to give drivers the "sport" feeling. Low speed gear changes are awful. I'm very glad you pointed this out as most people don't.

We're at the point where mainstream vehicles are getting good and premium vehicles are getting overpriced

Mercedes needs to make the drivers’s assistance package standard. A $19k Nissan Versa even has it. Only 13% of local dealer new stock had it either. Maybe it’s the chip shortage, but come on Mercedes!

Don’t understand why the Germans have to be so stingy with their feature and options list. Hope you are keeping warm and safe with all that winter weather!

I agree with you 💯. I like the rims on it. I made a mistake and hit the thumb down, but I corrected it with a thumb up. Appreciate you Nolan.

Great overview Nolan. The GLB looks great inside but your dislikes would rule it out for me....if I could afford it!

Thanks Nolan. You answered my question I posted to your earlier review of this vehicle regarding the sun visors.
Non-sliding sun visors means a no sale for me!

Great review. I agree with the clunky gearbox down shifts, even if you desire the prestige badge it is something hard to ignore. The extras are very expensive to spec. The 'Hey Mercedes' system is inconsistent and annoying which you end up turning the system off. If Mercedes could update these features it would be a no brainer. Other vehicles such as the Kia Sorento and forthcoming Gv80 could be better choices for many.
