You were one of the channels that convinced me to get one, 120k miles and still going strong✌🏾

You were smart letting go when you did because FCA discontinued the PTU’s along with the Cherokee. Now people wait months and months for replacements under warranty. And if it’s not drivable, that’s a big problem. People are resorting to used.

You can go for 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk. It looks similar to yours but it has been updated. With dealer discounts it is about 35k. Something else a little different but more modern and bigger on the inside would be Santa Fe/ Limited at 40K. A Mercedes GLB at just under 50 K would be an updated experience. Not the best time to buy a car. Let us know . Good luck.

Starting to look to replace my 17 trailhawk. Options for us are 4runner limited and lexus gx460. I haven't had the tranny issues in mine as they upgraded software several times. Very minmal issues.

I'm finally getting read of mine this week! I hate this thing. I wish it didn't have to be like this but this was the worst vechile ive ever owned. Trabs issues after trans issues. If it came with a 6spd id be ok.

I’m curious how in the world do you have a lifetime powertrain warranty? That would be a dream. I purchased a ‘21 model in 2022 and it came with 60k mile powertrain warranty.

I know you sold your Trailhawk, but have your ever looked to see if one can put a bigger gas tank on it? I wish it was another 4-6 gallons bigger.

Would you recommend the same model but with 158k miles?

If I was a betting guy, I'd bet Ole CarGuy is gonna get himself some EV to scoot around in.

I own a 2015 Trailhawk with 170500 on it. I hear the Jeep Cherokee is an endangered nameplate going out of production in late February. I don't recall you disclosing a budget figure on the replacement. A full sized Bronco if you want to wait a year to get it.

ive owned my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude that is quite similar to your trailhawk and have mostly enjoyed it for the 8 years so far. the thing i guess i am afraid of is the transmission going bad since my warranty is up. But i plan on changing the fluid to extend the life of my transmission.the thing with the transaxle is that u cant change the filter without taking the entire thing out, so im only going to change the fluid. surprisingly this vehicle gave me less problems then other vehicles i owned including a Honda Civid (infamous for durability) . I had to replace the PCV valve that went bad prior to its 100K replace date and the bumper burned out from the black contaminated exhaust. transmission was giving issues till i found it was a bad fuse that fixed the problem so i have been real hard on the transmission heavy hauling and so far not the smoothest transmission but still kicking it. if i were to upgrade this in the coming years ide probably get a ford expedition.

Does it actually have a locking rear differential? Or just the standard LSD?

Hey Car Guy! I subscribed to your channel. I just bought a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I have 105, 000 miles on it. Could I get your thoughts on any electrical issues you have had. I haven't looked at all your videos yet but I will. Thanks

Maybe Ford Ranger FX4? For a smoother ride you could go Ford Maverick but it's not as off road upgradable.

I say I'll hold mine for 10 years. We'll see.

I work remote. It will take me that long to wear it out.

With that maxlife warranty I'd keep that in the family for ever
