I’ve always wanted to have some form or food storage and in recent times this is probably the most opportune time to stock up it you haven’t already as there are a myriad of different things that could result in your fridge and cupboards going empty. I went with Augason Farms as they have great reviews and are priced cheaper than anyone else at the moment. In this video I talk about some of the different packages they offer, how the food is prepared, and show a few of the meals I made to try out.

I got a few of these at Walmart they are $19.99. Brought one camping and didn’t tell anyone what is was just cooked it and fed a few people. It wasn’t bad tasting nobody had any complaints I added some of my own spices. S&P plus Goya Adobo & cut up some canned ham. You can’t really beat this deal for $20 a bucket. I added some pure maple syrup into the bucket/ honey will last forever. This isn’t my main supply but definitely worth the $20. If you are researching emergency food & money is no object get a bunch of Mountain House freeze dried food it retains about 90% of its nutritional value and tastes the best lasts 25years also. MREs are ok but just as expensive as freeze dried food but MREs only last around 5 years.

For preppers you need a Solar generator, charcoal grill, something to catch rain water and a Water filter

Useful tip: To cook dried rations use a thermos flask - acts like a pressure cooker and you only need to boil the water once quickly, reduces cooking smell too.
Worth a video if yer bored?

You can soak them overnight instead of cooking! No heat source needed Although you will need a heat source for winter weather

Get a Sawyer water filter to help with clean water supply. Locate your local waterways, or consider having a well with a hand pump installed.

This emergency food supply I've heard from numerous other pages that this taste great. As for the water and heat sources, can be heated up with the esbit cooking pot system website with an esbit fire block. Then the water can be built up by buying 4-gallon water barrels at the same club. Buy 5 of them and you've enough water for 2 weeks. Usually, that's how long relief efforts take to arrive anywhere in the world. Especially in the USA. Fema and the red cross arrive in a disaster zone in 2 weeks. These are great purchases. There are others that have 2 weeks of food for a 5 lbs bucket. I wouldn't ever buy these from Walmart stores. Especially on discounts. That's why yours had holes in the food bags. I highly recommend this brand as it's the only one that actually tastes good, or needs some spices like salt or pepper.

I have a bio mass eco zoom stove. It's great because it takes very little fuel to cook with. I use a rotating pantry method for prepping, and I buy canned beans because they don't take extra water. But I have two 30 day containers of survival food for my husband and I just in case.

You will always have water; creeks, lakes, ponds, puddles, etc. In an emergency situation you can boil any type of water.

I think it's important for you to consider how many servings you need in a day to maintain your caloric needs in a SHTF scenario which would mean usually a lot more physical labor. Most of these have a serving size of like a cup. How often do you make a meal that's only a cup's worth? That's like a teacup. Also, Augason farm does not use animal protein which means that you're going to be greatly lacking in protein which helps you to build your muscle. That food is just carbs which will give you some energy and then you will crash. It'll make you constipated and sluggish after a while because there's no vegetables in that. I mean it's okay for a natural cataclysm for a few days or a couple of weeks but for long-term famine, get something better or use this as a base and add other things to it.
