I have the Augason Farms butter powder, but haven't used it. Glad you posted this video to show how easy it is to use.

I was raised in England after the second ww. When you bought butter it was rationed and one person got four ounces per week. The sales person placed a sheet of parchment paper and using a pair of wooden paddles they separated off four onces from the huge chunk of butter and smacked the small chunk into a rectangle and wrapped it into a neat package.

When you make your butter roll add olive oil in place of some of the water and you can then fry with it.

Augason Farms tells us that it works for adding to dry ingredients in a recipe, for sprinkling on veggies, etc (which you noted), and rehydrating for use as a butter spread.
I tried using it in my instant potato soup mix, but I couldn't taste the butter. Maybe I'm not supposed to use it in recipes that use boiling water! 🤷‍♀️
Thank you for this video! I think people really appreciate having Augason Farms dehydrated and freeze dried foods explained. One thing we don't want is to be in an emergency, and not knowing how to make "food" from our cans, into the edible stage of food..

Great review! We have four Unopened cans of this powdered butter. Our first can was $17.07 (currently $19.94 Amazon Prime).
We have heard that for cooking you need a small amount of cooking oil since during the drying process also dries out the butter fat.

I appreciate this product review because I have zero experience with powdered butter. I been thinking that powdered butter deserves pantry space so seeing that it can be turned into a stick of butter was nice surpris. Thank you!

I bet you could reconstitute it with an oil, so it would melt properly. A mild, flavorless oil should work. I have seen butters infused with olive oil as well, so it could probably be done with whatever is on hand. If that's only water, at least we know it works and tastes like butter.

Sorry, I gave some incorrect info on butter powder. I do have this but it was the whole egg powder that I said was over 100$/ can. The butter powder is much less expensive.
