I don't practice that much with a pick so it's always a challenge. You don't have to play all downpicks but this is the way i saw it was played on live videos. I't will be easier if you just alternate (but arguably the sound will change). I lowered my action to get the punchy sound. I maybe could have lasted just a bit of the song with high action and full strength. I couldn't do it, but more importantly, the sound would have been different. That's a thing with action. It may sound i'm pounding hard but i'm really saving my energy all the time. Let me know if you have any question. I'm always answering good questions.

I listened to ‘In Rock’ as a young teenager when it first came out. I could tell at that young age the bass and drums really drove the band along. Buying and listening to their other albums I could tell Roger Glover was a seriously good bass player. Your demo here cemented that opinion of him. Awesome! Thank you.

God that pre-chorus (measure 67-70) still kills me, a really good workout tho with having to slide up the neck and change positions. Roger Glover really is an underrated member of the band compared to Lord and Blackmore with lines like these.
