I had these thoughts as I actively listened to No Time To Die score this morning. It amazed me how "simple" things are. Also knowing how complex we make things when writing. Good vid Marc!

100% agree and 100% disagree.
In my juvinalia I certainly made massive soups of noise unintentionally masking the true song, yep 👍.
But - as a more mature composer, if the tone or emotional message is helped by a superabundance of notes- fix the frequency stacking and use mastering to bring sections in and out and you have a thorough composed klangfarbenmelodie which is a tool not to be afraid of but to be mastered. This is like the modern way of retaining a motif/cue when the instrumentation or colourations have changed.
