Quest to Beat the MKWii TAS Competition - Task 1 2020

A lot of time (multiple months) was spent testing to see if the TAS double trick method of performing the turnskip was possible, however we concluded that it wasn't viable with Spear (although feel very unsatisfied not being able to get it to work regardless). Other than that, this route combines most of the strats used by Jellopuff and Estaloy into one run, including some extra stuff. The sideways hop strat at the U turn is brand new, and thought of by me. It saves enough time to offscreen the old strat used by Jellopuff of just drifting around with a wider triple trick exit.

The rest of the videos in this series will not take as long to be released as this one did as we will likely not have to spend months pondering the double trick QM, however nothing is certain, and we may encounter such a roadblock again. If that kind of thing happens, I'll be sure to keep you all updated in the community tab :)

Idea for a future TAS task: Beat a certain course in under 1 minute (or any other time). The TASer with the most amount of drifts in their run win. It's similar to the coconut mall challenge, but I think the drifting changes the routes and strategies by a lot.
