The iPhone XR finally joins the 2018 iPhone lineup. Thanks to the aluminum frame and LCD you can get almost everything you love about the iPhone XS, but for less! People are calling the iPhone XR the best value iPhone you can buy, but will it be the most repairable? We’re tearing it down to find out.

I have the xr and I love it, the screen size is amazing, quality is super good in terms of screen, camera and sound, super fast however I have yet to try out the wireless charging feature !

Before all the hate about the screen resolution, it's the same dpi and the iPhone 6, 6s, 7 and 8. This hasn't been a huge controversy any other year so why is it being blown out of proportion now? Anyone coming from an older iphone won't notice the difference because there isn't a difference.

It is what it is, I wouldn't buy it but I can see what they're aiming for with it. For the average user I can imagine this phone would be great.

I think the lack of 3D Touch _could_ be an issue, but that could be alleviated with more haptic feedback, something we may see in future iOS 12.x version updates.

Android phones lose value exponentially over time. Though they have a better value (hardware+price) at release, they eventually lose all that a year or two later. Apple, meanwhile, has constant security and software updates that keeps their phones usable up to at least 4 years. Because of that, iPhones are mostly future-proof. By 2022, people can still use the XR while android users are already moving onto newer-released phones which just ups the total money that they are paying over time. Simple truth.

This iPhone is actually not too bad. Fixing it is gonna be easy and cheap and the screen resolution is not as bad as haters say it is. You can’t tell the difference

iPhones hold their value like mad. I just sold my iPhone 8+ 256gb for $575. Comparable Samsung phones from the same time we’re going for $200-300 even though they cost the same or more when new.

After I years of Apple iPhones 3Gs, 4s, 5s and iPad air on iOS I changed to Huawei P10 lite and p20 lite on Android - best decision I've ever made. I pay my phone 250 euros at most by waiting for 9 months after initial release before buying, I can use memory cards, I can access almost every file anywhere without rooting. Things just WORK and don't fail all the time.
And after finding Louis Rossmann's channel I now KNOW FOR SURE it was the right thing to do.
