These guys are phenomenal live. I worked as a roadie for them on the recycler tour when the union guys were on strike. They were the most down to earth people in the music industry. They treated me and the guys setting up and tearing down their stage (18 semi's packed.) like family. Whatever they ate....so did we. I've met several "rock stars" and almost all were egomaniacs (I'm being nice) but all three of these guys were laid back and chill. RIP Dusty !

I've been a fan since Tres Hombres came out, and in 1977 I had the good fortune to play for ZZ Top. I was a drummer for a five piece Top 40 band that was gigging at a Holiday Inn in Fargo, ND, when the boys walked into the bar, sat down and listened to an entire set of music. They had just finished a concert in town. During our break I sat with them and shot the shit. All three signed a dollar bill for me as I apologized for not having a ten (Ten Dollar Man). They were all incredibly gracious and it was a thrill to sit behind a set of drums, look into the half-filled club and see the three members of ZZ Top digging the tunes.

I was really big into rap music when I was around 13. My dad took me to a show of some group, I thought they were called "Easy Drop"? Ok cool.

Nope it was ZZ Top.

And I've been playing guitar and rock n roll/blues for 13 years since that show.

ZZ Top changed my life
