Saying Goodbye To Oz The Sea Otter | The Aquarium

Oz the 18 year old sea otter is one of four sea otters at the Georgia Aquarium, and having outlived his life expectancy in the wild, the keepers want to ensure that they are prepared to deal with any and all complications that may arise.

I have known Oz for seven minutes now and I'm crying

Oh no. I thought he was going to a different zoo or something. Now I'm sad. His caretakers must be devastated. Gosh, I am so sorry.

he would have lived between 10-15 years in the wild, he was 18 when he had to go here
they gave him more years in captivity (having been born in captivity that is) than he would have gotten in the wilderness he got to enjoy life just a bit longer.
