Meguiars and Turtle Wax are two of the largest brands in the car wash and car detailing industries. With over 200 years of car care manufacturing between the two brands, they know this industry better than most to say the least. Both brands recently came out with a Gloss Enhancing spray detailing that promising more gloss in your vehicles paint. I put these two side by side in a test to see which one performs better. Although they are both gloss enhancers, it seems that they way they achieve this is different and there are benefits to both... ENJOY!!!

I really admire Josh's honest evaluation with no hint of partiality. Keep going man.

Loss of gloss is normal when you apply these type products to a highly polished surface. Even though they don’t claim cure time, if you take another gloss reading 48 hours later the gloss number usually goes back up. Good video.

As usual Josh I love you pure honesty. No editing of your observations or comments. Just pure "as it is" presentation. Love it

While it didn’t add gloss, I will by that turtle wax just for the feel! Nothing in the world after that final wipe and running your hand over that cool slick surface.

The McGuires Ultimate detailer is amazing. I buy them for the sprayer tops alone - they spray so nicely and an even mist. Plus 24oz bottle for $12 is good value

How about putting the new TW Minute Wax against the TW Pure Shine? The Minute Wax is $9 and has flerasol(?) sprayer.
And how about comparing the Walmart Platinum Series Twist Loop drying towels against a similar towel? They are 87/13 but they feel similar.

Josh, the TW Pure Shine has made more of a visual impact than any product I’ve ever used.

The Forensic Detail channel has long ago proven that while visually some of these products look like they enhance gloss, that based on meter readings they actually lower the gloss level as per the meter. Which makes sense. If you're adding a product in between the layers of paint and the sensor, it acts as a light blocker. However the meters can't account for Human visual perception...

Lol just bought the newer TW quick detailer, smells good, awesome atomized power sprayer trigger. Haven't even watched the video and I already know this is going to be an real review.

Get Mequiar's, it produces a darker enriched color tone, don't have to worry about overspray because spray onto microfiber cloth, and it is cheaper by $6. Hydrophobic is pretty much the same. Durability IDK. Mequiar's will look like many of your other spray bottle products with an oblong shape vs Turtlewax oval/circular bottle. Could be better off with Adam's Detailing Spray because these here don't really make your vehicle glossier or shine as proven with the light meter. Thanks, Josh for the comparison and results.

yeah that's normal. polished virgin clear coat is usually glossier than anything. there are some coatings, waves the do improve shine and increase gloss meter readings but it'll take a few hours to micro level n cure first. also because almost all coatings sealants waxes have done kind of pigments in them that absorb light instead of reflect it.. this is why just polishing the paint gives biggest increase in gloss over anything else. great video Josh. you're the man.!

Malco showroom shine has been around for a long time it's great my experience with putting it on vehicles has been that I can actually see a color change to the paint when I apply it
