Honda Accord Garage Door Opener Homelink Setup - Rolling Code - 2018 and Newer

This video shows how I programmed my 2018 Honda Accord to open the garage door which is controlled by a Genie Intellicode garage door opener.

The 2018 Honda Accord uses the Homelink system that is embedded within the rearview mirror on EX-L and Touring Trims.

1. Clear codes on the HomeLink system pressing and holding the #1 and #3 buttons until the HomeLink light rapidly blinks green.
2. Press and hold the #1 HomeLink Button and the existing door remote until HomeLink light flashes green
3. If you have a rolling code system you must go to the opener in the garage and press the learn button on the rear of the unit or under the light cover.
4. Go to the vehicle within 30 seconds and press the HomeLink button.
5. Wait 3-5 seconds for the system to pair and then test operation.

Please be careful and watch for children while operating the garage door.

Thank you Been fighting with my homelink and garage door for a couple days trying to figure it out. Watched a few different videos and this finally got it to work ! I have a rolling code opener. The only weird thing was that my car’s homelink disabled my regular transmitter. But I just reprogrammed it and both are working fine. Thank you for the video !!

I didn’t know you had to do the “remote pairing” first. Then the “learn” feature 2nd, in that order. As soon as I did it. It worked in seconds!

THIS VIDEO TELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. Every other video out there MISSED the most important PUSHING THE BUTTON on your Genie Motor Housing. If you DON'T do that, then the Homelink process will not be complete and the button on your vehicle will NOT work.

You MUST sync the Homelink in your auto with the MOTOR on your Garage Door Opener.... by PUSHING the button on the left hand side.... NEXT to the light socket. When the red light shines, then you can press the Homelink button on the bottom side of your rearview mirror.

Those with a rolling code and no remote, you cannot program without the remote. So borrow one, program the remote with the opener, then program your Honda with the remote. It's the only way

I'm struggling severely to figure this out I don't understand why my garage is not responding, I have a Craftsman chain drive motor it's red and for some reason I'm having trouble, could someone please help?
