Or they could do a payment plan, or if they re-release they do a paired down version without the tiers? There still needs to be an incentive for people to back it, or else they won't.

If you know that you can still get it on a later date, then most people's mentality will shift to "Why do I need to back it now when I can get it on a later date" then will then shift to, "if I can get it on retail on a later date, I'll just wait for clearance". You can always have all reasons, but if your reason will be implemented, would you think haslab giant man will be backed?

I backed Giant Man, then the next day cancelled.
Something just didn’t feel right about this Haslab and I got 2 Sentinels, Galactus and backed the Joe Dragonfly. Each of those felt like I got or am getting my money’s worth.
Multiple heads and/or face plates (in the case of Sentinel and Galactus) extra figures, lighted special features on Sentinel, Galactus and Dragonfly.

Giant Man was ultra bare minimum with no extra figures and only one extra head sculpt. It’s like the Hasbro Marvel team cheapened the price which kind of resulted in this being a meh Haslab even though it funded. 🤔

Hey, I'm 50. I grew up at a time and place when collecting involved bottle caps with superhero illustrations underneath. So I get your point. But times, they are a-changing and as much as I find it ridiculous that a multi-million company has to put stuff as a crowd-fund; it's the way it is. I would also rather that it was just at some store I could go up to and buy it there and then. But I sure won't do that and pay 30% higher or more. But any person that may feel better that way, it's their choice. It's their money, their hobby and happiness. Do what you feel is best for you.

They said that if the haslab gets funded they'll use the mold for future releases. but probably not for a Giant Man re-release.

There's people still waiting on two other past HasLabs besides this new one and it's a long time to wait. Something like this Giant Man totally could have been at retail. HasLabs are meant for something a lot bigger. MOTU and the Jurassic Park line can do it so I don't believe their excuses. I'm not going to let them control how I spend my money especially on something like that Giant Man.

as far as principles go -- i'd sooner do business with greedy corporate suits at hasbro than some lowlife scalper parasite on ebay. you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.

I had thought about the retail part once the backers get their item, but it seems that these items at retail cost too much as shelf space is expensive and mostly at retail price there a very limited number of folks who buy, almost all wait for sale prices. So it does not work for the company. Also, I have heard that comment about Hasbro does not need a kickstarter, but I disagree as big items are not profitable at retail.

You can't be mad you missed out, I don't think anybody who backed it is excited for the year wait but this is a character I wanted so I put up the money. Your budget was 300 for the month Giant Man was 200 that leaves 100 to spend as you see fit, if you wanted him? Love your channel, hope I haven't offended you😅

Exact same reason I didn’t get it. You shouldn’t be charged for something you won’t be able to see until next year(if that). This is figure collecting, not stocks and bonds.

I do agree that the concept of a Haslab not really the best, but unfortunately that’s the game that we are going to play if we want this big characters/ products. They will never put these things on shelves. And to ask them to do that is kinda unreasonable. When all of the black series vehicles came out, a lot of them went on sale and took up a lot of shelf space. Retailers weren’t happy and neither was Hasbro. So why in the world would the do that again. Especially in a world where a lot of people are waiting for things to go on sale before buying. They do this because they can. Wether you agree with it or not it’s what they do. And it’s the new way to do things. Mattel, super7, and McFarlane did/do the same.

I will back a giant Apocalypse, if they are trying to mock Toy Biz, turned all the BAF into Haslab. But depends of the price and execution. Not a big fan of Giant Man, a more regular figure will be fine for my display.
The idea of a new Wasp is interesting, but I need to see the result, because that waist ball joint could be tricky, I don't know, seems to me that Hasbro is falling in a rabbit hole, they gonna need to update all the HOX figures again, pinless Wolverine, pinless Cyke, and reuse that Wasp to update Marvel Girl.

I got the Giant Man at the last day, I was hoping they would add a couple of figures or a Hank Pym with a laboratory or something like that. You did right by hesitating. I saw the Giant Man at NEW York comicon and he look Kool but not spectacular! I collect LEGENDS but alot of legends are hyped up and not worth the hype not to mention the high cost of er the years! I've slowed down alot cause I believe Hasbro sometimes pushes crap on their fans! Sometimes out of a wave you get one great sculpt and the rest are rubbery repaints!
