No moves were exactly shocking. After the playoffs we could see more or less things were written on the wall. Also in time people adapted to the reality of big spending omissions while the Padres loaded up.

It's funny that Bellinger and Yeltich were the winner and runner-up respectively for the MVP award in 2019 and everyone was saying those two were going to battle each other for that award for the next decade. Instead, after 2019 they both have been stankass, especially at the plate, and neither one has come close enough to even smell an MVP trophy.

I would have gone w Turner over the guy from Boston. I don't see a needle moving production from Martinez that's going to be so much better than JT. Fraudgers didn't learn pitching wins in the Postseason so they let Depth go like Tyler Anderson. Someone's gonna outbid the Fraudgers for Ohtani

I too was surprised at not bringing back TA, seemed like a no brainer, angels got him for not much…he was our best starter in the NLDS. I get resetting the luxury tax, but if the angels trade Ohtani it won’t be tO us, he needs to hit FA for us to have a chance

Nothing the Dodgers have done or haven't done has shocked me at all! It all makes perfect Dodger sense. I believe having the high priced line up they had and exiting in the first round in 2022 taught them a valuable lesson. Quit trying to buy or overbuy a World Series. As much as i hate them I believe the current incarnation of the Astros has become the blueprint on how to construct a dynasty and taking that into account the Dodgers want to see what gold they may have down in the minors while being ready to pounce when Shohei becomes available.

not surprised by the bellinger exit...hasnt regained form at the plate since Kiki injury to the shoulder IMO...would have liked to keep JT...when hes healthy he can still play a solid 3B and is productive at the plate...i dont think the front office wanted to chance it by paying him to be on the DL hoping we'd pick up another solid starting pitcher ...rolling the dice with syndegard can pay off huge but not likely if the velo isnt there...pitching staff is gonna need to repeat last years accomplishments to stay in it for 162 games ..hopefully Buhler will be ready for the second half ..even with these moves i still think we can win the west...Lets Go!!!!
