This is the second lecture on determinants. I probably waste too much time showing multilinearity from the definition. Perhaps a wise lecturer would have devoted more time to the proof of det(AB)=det(A)det(B). I show how Cramer's Rule follows from the product formula of the determinant. Next lecture we discuss the adjoint and some applications.
