These videos are so useful. I can’t imagine the number of injuries and serious injuries you have already prevented through your education. Thank you

This channel has really taught me good shit with compound lifts. It's a trip to understand but your abs' job is to keep your back straight. But once I incorporated it, it fucking shows.

It’s crazy to be able to actually watch the mentioned muscles lock into place, that’s dope

Manila is incredible. Really interested to see how many records he breaks

Tried this and it worked so so well, my left arm is always kinda askew when I deadlift so locking in the shoulder really helped. Tried this for barbell rows and they felt so much better too !!

This is what I’ve recently been doing wrong, I deadlifted fine previous years before, then this year I’ve lost power in dead’s and was wondering why cause I’ve been focusing so much on squeezing my shoulders together. You’re a lifesaver Ty so much!

Before each rep, my physio had me release and then re-engage my lats before lifting the next rep, helps activate the lats before each rep, helped early on for muscle memory now I engage lats continuous through the entire set and feel no pain in back, and only feel my lats, glutes and hamstrings working! And I also don't pop my pelvis forward, as soon as my hips pelvis are in standing netrual position I then go into downward motion cause I thought popping my hips pelvis at the end was proper but it only made the load go to my lower back cause it was arching it in the wrong direction. I can't wait till they make Physiotherapy actual doctors here in Canada they need so much more credit for their work!

This was like a sign for me. I was wondering why my deadlifts felt so weak and my lower back never rounded but I always locked my back too much. So useful hopefully I can work it out and increase the weight from just 185

Ed Coan had the best cue for this I've ever heard. Try to put your shoulder blades in your back pockets.

A good way to pull your shoulders down is to rotate your elbows back. It will always engage your lats

This explains a lot actually, ill give this a try

Taking my hands from parallel with my shoulders to the barbell in a "lat pulldown" motion has helped tremendously

This is very helpful. Focusing on the mid-back is what I am actually doing and I do feel the energy leakage on heavy load. I'll try focusing on the lats now.

Good advice. Retracting shoulder blades with heavier loads can also lead to rhomboid injury. I learned it the hard way😅

Try to incorporate lats in everything and you will get stronger.

A really good cue is chest up during the set up
