Job searching as Sociology degree graduate | I'm unemployable??

"What can I do with a sociology degree?" "What are the highest paying jobs with a Sociology degree?"

THE most common question (and objection!) I get when I talk about sociology, is that sociology graduates are unemployable. Or just plain old "what will you do with that degree?"

So in today's video, I'm taking you through how I'm searching for jobs as a Sociology graduate.

**SPOILER** I graduated in July 2021 and I've actually already landed a job as a UX design / marketing intern at a fintech startup. So don't let anyone put you off sociology just because of job prospects.

Here in my country it is hard to find a well paid job and do what you like. I would suggest that before you finish the university you have to decide your "lines" for example, public policies, social responsibility, history, teaching, etc. That makes it easier. A job is always temporary, so the search for a job doesn't end when you find one, you have to keep doing things you like, courses, programs, etc. Even if isn't into sociology. I hope you're doing well!

Hello! I've been watching your videos and I just want to thank you for giving me insights. I'm an incoming sociology freshman and I would like to ask if maybe you could provide me concepts inside sociology for research? I like doing research but I'm not good at topics. Can you help me formulate some? I've been considering research designs with variables of "relationships" and "effects".

You could just comment here but I'd really be glad if you also find this interesting enough to make a video :) thank youu
